Coronavirus CT: Presidential Primary Date Changed By Gov. Lamont
Gov. Ned Lamont said he has changed the date of Connecticut's presidential primary due to ongoing coronavirus concerns.

HARTFORD, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont said that Connecticut would move the date of its presidential primary to June 2, 2020 due to ongoing concerns over the new coronavirus. The original date was scheduled for April 28, 2020.
Lamont said, "In coordination with other states and our Secretary of the State, and in an effort to carry out Democracy while keeping public health a top priority, I have decided to move our presidential primary to June 2nd. I will provide more information later today," Lamont said.
As of right now there are two Democratic candidates remaining, former vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders. Tulsi Gabbard dropped out of the race today.
