Sunken Car Found In Housatonic River

State Police found a sunken vehicle in the Housatonic River off of Rt. 44 Wednesday afternoon. Police are helping to search for a missing man from Ashley Falls, Mass. German Perez, 58, was due to return home on the evening of Sept. 25, but never came back. He was last known to be in Lakeville, Conn.

He left Lakeville around 6 p.m. State Police found some guardrail damage and evidence that a vehicle may have gone off the roadway and into the Housatonic River on Rt. 44.

It is unknown if the vehicle belongs to Perez. Police continue to investigate.
