Double-Shooting Probed In East Hartford: EHPD

The East Hartford Police Department reports two men were shot in an incident early Thursday morning.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are continuing to investigate a double-shooting in East Hartford Thursday morning that sent two victims to the hospital.

ACcording to the East Hartford Police Department, officers and the East Hartford Fire Department were sent to 200 Nutmeg Lane at about 1 a.m. for a shots fired report.

"When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," wrote police.

The EHPD said several bullet casings were located on scene, along with a handgun, and a rifle.

The victim was treated by both the East Hartford Police and East Hartford Fire departments and transported by ambulance to the hospital, police said.

Then, a short time later, police responded to Philips Farm Road on a report of an injured adult male who was knocking on doors asking for help, according to the EHPD.

Police located the adult male on Silver Lane who was also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

"Both male victims were transported to the hospital, and both are expected to survive," wrote the EHPD

East Hartford Police detectives are investigating this incident, including the circumstances and identity of both victims.

"At this time there is no immediate threat to the public, as this appears to be an isolated incident," wrote the EHPD.
