East Hartford Man Crawls Into Bedroom, Sexually Assaults 2: EHPD
Police said he was charged Monday for an incident June 16 in which he crawled through a window and sexually assaulted two sleeping victims.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Local police Tuesday said they have a suspect in custody following a home invasion Friday in which they said a suspect crawled through a window and sexually assaulted two victims.
The East Hartford Police Department said in a statement Tuesday afternoon that Tyonne Pierce, 31, of Judson Avenue in East Hartford, was charged Monday night with first-degree sexual assault; fourth-degree sexual assault; home invasion; and third-degree assault.
He is being held on $500,000 pending a court appearance, the EHPD said Tuesday.

According to the EHPD, the incident happened on Whitney Street on Friday when the suspect entered a first-floor bedroom window while two victims were sleeping in bed.
The EHPD said one victim awoke to "being touched in a sexual matter by the suspect, who then forced the second victim to touch him."

Police said one of the victim's fought with the suspect and the suspect fled the scene through a broken bedroom window.
At the time, police were called and officers searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect, police said.
"A weapon was never seen by the victims; but was implied by the suspect during the incident," wrote the EHPD in a statement Tuesday.
Detectives were assigned the case and "worked diligently to quickly identify the suspect," wrote police.
The EHPD said an arrest warrant was eventually obtained Monday, and detectives took Pierce into custody at his home without incident.
