2. West Hartford Fire Department Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary of Paramedic Program - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — West Hartford's Fire Department is marking 10 years since it took over paramedic-level emergency medical services, a change credited with faster response times and more consistent care for residents. Local leaders, firefighter-paramedics, and Hartford Healthcare partners were honored at Town Hall for building a program that has handled more than 113,000 patient contacts and become central to the town's public safety strategy.
   

3. $25K reward offered for information in 2024 hit-and-run death of Hartford city clerk (wtnh.com) — State officials have authorized a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest in the 2024 hit-and-run that killed Hartford City Clerk Noel McGregor. Investigators are still seeking tips about a blue Jeep Cherokee involved in the Route 2 crash near Colchester, and Hartford-area residents are urged to contact State Police if they know anything that could help solve the case.
   

4. How to get overdose reversal drug naloxone, or Narcan, in CT (ctmirror.org) — Connecticut health officials highlight that naloxone, or Narcan, is widely available and has helped reduce overdose deaths, with free supplies offered through programs including the Connecticut Harm Reduction Alliance in Hartford. Residents can also buy it at pharmacies without a prescription, learn usage from Hartford Healthcare's video, and rely on Good Samaritan protections when administering it in emergencies.
