Education at Hartford Stage Announces Fall Studio Classes for Youth Ages 3 to 17

Classes are available for all experience levels. Financial aid and payment plan options are also available.

Announcing Fall Studio Classes for Youth

Hartford, CT – September 1, 2017 –Education at Hartford Stage has announced its full roster of Fall Youth Studio classes, which begin the week of September 23. Registration is currently open for a variety of classes for youth, ages 3 to 17, which feature imaginative play and specialized techniques, as well as coaching and production opportunities.

Highlights from this year’s Fall Youth Studio include Mini-Production: Mirthful Myths!,which enables students, ages 5 to 8, to rehearse and perform an upbeat compilation of popular myths, led by guest artist Tori Mooney. Education at Hartford Stage teaching artist Natalie Pertz will guide From the Page to the Stage students, ages 10 to 17, as they explore improvisation and writing and work together to create their own stories, bringing them to life onstage. Acting for the Camera will introduce students, ages 9 to 17, to the principles of acting for different genres through work on scenes from television, film, and stage; this class will be led by guest artist Erica LuBonta. Education at Hartford Stage Studio Manager Emely Larson will helm the popular Production Class, which allows students, ages 9 to 17, to rehearse and perform a complete production for family and friends.

Classes are available for all experience levels. Financial aid and payment plan options are also available. Early registration is encouraged. Fall Studio Classes will be held on Saturdays at Classical Magnet School at 85 Woodland Street (corner of Woodland Street and Asylum) in the Asylum Hill Neighborhood of Hartford.
