Mixed Signals was established in 2011 and plays a great mix of groove-oriented, rhythmically tight music, infused with great dynamics and solos, often crossing into “jam band” territory. Mixed Signals gives you the familiarity of a cover band, with songs everyone loves, but with the overwhelming impression that you are listening to an original band because they play the music in their own personal style and arrangements. Members of Mixed Signals are veterans of the local music scene and have been playing for the past thirty years. They are five friends who are just doing what they love to do - having fun playing great music. The band is from Central Connecticut. They have opened for Tower of Power and played at Black Eyed Sally’s, The Durham Fair, Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den, the Portland Fair, Harbor Park’s Canoe Club, Winchester Cafe and Cypress Grill, among many other fantastic Connecticut venues. If you like to dance, or even just sit and enjoy a high energy band playing music everybody loves, you’ll enjoy Mixed Signals.
Singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist extraordinaire Michael Cleary has been performing and making music for more than 30 years. He studied music theory, improvisation and music engineering at Berklee and Wesleyan and has taught guitar to hundreds of students.
