Exciting Job Opportunities to Help Families in Connecticut

Positions available to address economic opportunities, financial literacy and the opioid crisis

Are you concerned about family challenges in urban communities? Are you looking for ways to give back while gaining valuable work experience? The Village VISTA Collaborative, a new VISTA project sponsored by The Village for Families & Children, is looking to fill four positions to address economic opportunities, financial literacy and the opioid crisis.

These openings are AmeriCorps VISTA positions, and candidates must be willing to complete one full year of service. Living allowances, healthcare benefits, and education credits or end-of-service stipends are available for these positions. Please see related links for full job descriptions and benefits.

If you are interested in helping families understand financial planning and building career skills, become a Family Financial VISTA. Help connect families in The Village’s other support programs with the Financial Center through marketing services and care coordination systems. If you are troubled by the growing opioid epidemic and the rates of underage drinking, become a Substance Abuse Prevention VISTA. Assist in building the capacity of The Village’s Vernon ROCKS Coalition through social media, developing training materials and increasing the coalition’s outreach in the community.
