Family Of Fatal Shooting Victim In Hartford Launches GoFundMe Page
The 42-year-old Hartford man was shot and killed on Allen Place earlier this week.
HARTFORD, CT — The family of a Hartford man killed in a shooting earlier this week has launched an online fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses as police continue investigating the homicide.
Shania Rogers, the sister of the victim, created a GoFundMe page seeking $5,000 to help pay for the burial of her brother, Christopher Shannon.
“I am Christopher Shannon’s sister. I only want to make sure my brother, my best friend, is laid to rest properly. I miss him dearly,” Rogers wrote on the fundraiser page. “If this is the last time I, his friends, family, and children get to say we love you and farewell, I would accept all help available to me. Seeking help. Thank you in advance.”
