Man Shot Dead In Hartford; Police Seek Tips: HPD
Hartford police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man, the second homicide in as many days.
HARTFORD, CT — Police in Hartford are investigating a homicide after officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds late Monday night on Allen Place.
According to the Hartford Police Department, patrol officers were dispatched around 9:45 p.m. Monday, March 9, to the area of 15 Allen Place after reports of shots being fired.
When officers arrived, they located an unresponsive gunshot victim in the roadway near the residence.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police identified the victim as Christopher Shannon, 42, of Allen Place in Hartford.

The department’s Major Crimes Division and Crime Scene Division responded and have taken over the investigation.
Authorities said the case remains active and ongoing. No information about suspects or a motive was released as of Tuesday.
It was the second homicide in as many days in the city.
On Sunday, Hartford police charged a city man in connection with the apparent beating death of an elderly woman on Washington Street.
