Hartford Firefighters Hurt After Car Slams Into Firetruck: Reports

In addition, the civilian motorist was hurt in the Thursday night crash.

HARTFORD, CT ֫— Multiple firefighters and a motorist were injured when a car slammed into the side of a firetruck that was backing into its firehouse garage bay Thursday night.

According to WFSB Channel 3, four Hartford Fire Department firefighters were injured as well as one civilian in the 9:50 p.m. accident near 197 Main St.

All five injured in the collision were taken to the hospital after suffering non-life-threatening injuries, WTNH Channel 8 reported, adding later in the morning that all firefighters have been treated and released.

WTNH reported the vehicle that slammed into the fire truck was a gray Nissan Altima.
