Hartford Heroin Trafficker Sentenced
The man supplied drugs from his store D-Town Supermarket.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford heroin trafficker was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison.
Luis Reyes-Guitierrez, 38, formerly of Hartford was sentenced Wednesday. He was accused of supplying David Alvarado and others with raw heroin from his store D-Town Supermarket on Wethersfield Avenue, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut.
Law enforcement made controlled purchases from Alvarado in 2015.

Reyes-Guitierrez was arrested in November 2016 and pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute heroin. He is a citizen of the Dominican Republican with lawful permanent resident status in the U.S. He'll face immigration proceedings after his sentence is served.
