Hartford Man Among 2 Charged in Glastonbury Home Invasion

Police said they have made two arrests related to an invasion at an elderly man's residence.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Police have announced arrests related to a September invasion at an elderly man's Glastonbury home.

Isaiah Riggins, 21, of 30 Sisson St., Hartford, was arrested on March 8, police said.

A second man was arrested, and charges were later dismissed.

The man was allegedly robbed and assaulted after the two broke into his home on Sept. 15, police said.

Riggins has been charged with home invasion, first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery, assault on an elderly person, third-degree assault, fifth-degree larceny and disorderly conduct, police said. He is also facing conspiracy charges for all the alleged crimes, police said.

He appeared in court and failed to post a half-million-dollar bond, according to court records. Riggins is slated to be back before a judge on March 23, according to court records.

A second man has been charged with conspiracy to commit all the listed crimes. He is being held in a $100,000 bond and is due to appear in court on March 23, police said.
