HARTFORD, CT — A federal jury found a Hartford man guilty of sex trafficking of minors and producing child pornography Tuesday. The jury found Christopher Hamlett aka "Cadi" and "Cadillac Black," 25, guilty on all nine counts of the indictment.
Hamlett faces at least 15 years in prison and up to a life sentence. Hamlett recruited and enticed two minor female victims to engage in prostitution at Hartford and Wethersfield hotels in 2017, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. He also took sexually explicit photos of the minors to put on the website Backpage.
Evidence of text messages between Hamlett and prostitution Johns and between Hamlett and a minor victim were presented at the trial. He threatened one of the minors when he thought she wasn't giving him his agreed upon cut of the proceeds.
