Hartford Man Had Hundreds Of Child Pornography Files: Feds
A Hartford man was recently arrested on child pornography charges.
HARTFORD, CT — A city man has been arrested on child pornography charges, according to a statement from federal prosecutors. Roberto Acosta-Torres, 59, was arrested and charged with production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
Police executed a search warrant at Acosta's Hartford residence and seized a Sony camcorder with two thumb drives. Analysis of those drives found hundreds of videos of child pornography, including at least two involving Acosta sexually abusing a minor victim, according to the statement.
Production of child pornography carries a mandatory minimum prison term of imprisonment of 15 years and a maximum term of 30 years. Possession of child pornography carries a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years.

This matter is being investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Hartford and Manchester Police Departments. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Nancy V. Gifford.
