Hartford Man Killed In Fatal Bridgeport Shooting: Police

An 18-year-old Bridgeport man was also injured in the Sunday afternoon shooting, according to police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The identities of the two victims from Sunday afternoon's fatal shooting on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport have been released by police.

Hartford resident Ramon Gonzalez-Peguero Jr., 32, was pronounced dead at the hospital following the 4:55 p.m. shooting, according to Bridgeport police.

Bridgeport resident Kazzmaire Dorsey, 18, survived and suffered gunshot wounds and is listed in stable condition.

"The Police Department's thoughts and prayers are with both families," said Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran.

Detectives are investigating the shooting, which occurred in the 1700 block of Fairfield Avenue near the Atlas Gas Station.
