Hartford Resident Scratches Off Maximum Lotto Payout

The winning ticket was purchased Wednesday at a Hartford convenience store.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford resident walked into a local convenience store this week and walked out in much better financial shape than before.

That's because the person won $50,000 in a scratch-off game via a ticket purchased at the Nouria store at 140 Weston St., Harford, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

Lotto officials said the winning ticket was the Super Cashword 23 game, which costs $5 to play and carries with it a maximum $50,000 payout.
