Hartford Residents' Trips To Wethersfield Smoke Shops Prove Lucrative

HARTFORD/WETHERSFIELD, CT — Two Hartford residents' recent trips to tobacco retailers in Wethersfield proved to be quite profitable, with both enjoying nice lottery winnings.

On Thursday, March 9, Hartford resident Sharon Dixon visited Smokers Discout World at 636 Silas Dean Highway in Wethersfield and won $15,000 playing the Diamond Tripler scratch-off game, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

The $10 game has a maximum payout of $100,000, but its unlikely Dixon is disappointed with the payout.

Meanwhile, Hartford resident Roberto Puntiel's visit March 10 to the Tobacco Place, located at 202 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield, resulted in a $12,604 payout playing the Play 4 Night drawing, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

Play 4 is a game that costs 50 cents to $5 to play, with a maximum payout of $25,000 a day.
