HARTFORD, CT — Jamie McDonald, CEO of Bear's Smokehouse, has traveled to the border of Poland and Ukraine to help those fleeing the country due to Russia's invasion, according to WTNH News-8. McDonald is part of a group of chefs from across the world who have come in to help.

“Today we cooked a bunch of different stews… probably about 10,000 meals worth,” McDonald told WTNH News-8.

On Bear Smokehouse's Facebook page, a post reads: "For those asking how they can help support Jamie & @wckitchen over in Poland, 25% of all sauce and rub sales this month will be donated to WCK to help support their efforts. This includes sauces and rubs sold at all Bear’s locations as well as all Big Y & Geisslers grocery stores."
