“Ted brings an unprecedented set of skills and diverse experience to the HSO Capital Campaign Manager position,” said Hartford Symphony Orchestra Executive Director Steve Collins. “He has a proven track record in nurturing long-term relationships and making meaningful connections between individuals and the community. Under Ted’s supervision I am confident the HSO Capital Campaign will flourish and help bring the orchestra to the next level of community relevance. It will be an honor to work with him.”

The goal of the capital campaign is to raise $10 million to support endowment growth, innovation and operations reserve funding. The Hartford Foundation’s three-year grant will be used to support the training of current staff, the hiring of campaign staff, and a series of activities to plan and implement the campaign including: creation of campaign materials, research and cultivation of potential donors, stewardship events, and other planned giving activities.

“We are extremely grateful for this show of support from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving,” said Collins. “Their generous grant is vitally important to the creation of our capital campaign infrastructure. This campaign, which is a five-year endeavor and an integral part of our newly-adopted strategic framework, is crucial to ensure the stability and long-term future of the HSO as well as supporting artistic innovation.”
