Hartford Woman Accused of Defrauding Nursing Home Residents
She was arrested on 37 charges, including forgery, larceny and narcotics, according to police.

FARMINGTON, CT — A Hartford woman was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging her with multiple crimes connected to the identity theft of elderly nursing home patients in Farmington.
Sharonda N. Williams, 39, of 258 Capen St., was charged with second-degree forgery (11 counts), second-degree identity theft (11 counts), sixth-degree larceny (seven counts), third-degree larceny (three counts), criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny, credit card theft, third-degree forgery, sale of a hallucinogen and operating a drug factory. She was released after posting $50,000 bond.
Williams and some of her family members were involved in stealing identities of elderly nursing home patients in Farmington and using those identities to obtain thousands of dollars of furniture from local stores, police said.

Williams also had a large amount of narcotics in her Hartford residence, which was found during the execution of a search warrant related to the case, police said.
Other arrests are expected, police said.
