The event is made possible by the help and support of hundreds of volunteers, who assist with getting displays out of storage, testing displays, replacing bulbs and setting up displays along the 2-mile road through Goodwin Park.
Volunteer opportunities are available to work at the entrance gates throughout the 35-night event. Approximately 6-10 people are needed each night to successfully operate the show.

"This is a great team building opportunity for local businesses as their role is to greet cars and share their holiday spirit," the statement reads.
Holiday Light Fantasia benefits thousands of children from across Connecticut to the Channel 3 Kids Camp. Ticket sales make it possible for all children to attend camp regardless of economic, physical or developmental ability.
To underwrite the expenses of running the event, corporate and business sponsorships are available.
