Interview with Trans Actress Noelia Velazquez
Nurse turned actress Noelia Valazquez is an inspiration to many in the LGBTQ community. She stars in several locally shot films.

Noelia Velazquez was born In Honduras in 1973. She went to school in the Capitol San Pedro Sula. At 15 years of age she made the long Journey to New Jersey. Noelia worked numerous jobs until finding a passion for the entertainment industry dancing. She realized that she was different and transitioned from male to Female. Branching out she became a phlebotomist. She continued her studies completing a program in Certified Nursing. Luck would strike and draw her back into the entertainment industry with a part in three films shot in Connecticut by Connecticut born filmmaker Christopher Annino"The Lolipop Gang", “Trans Rights are human Rights” https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6... (inspired by Caroline Cossey) and “The CruciFire”. "I love working with Noella she is very kind and is truly a professional. I go by what I always say I work with humans not actors and she is a great human. I am truly blessed to have her on my set" said Christopher Annino.
Q: Who inspired you?
A: “Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Trevi, because they both overcame obstacles in their lives.”

Q: What is your best advice and why?
A: “Don't. Let anybody push you down and keep following your dreams. Live the good life and make sure to live the correct way by being kind to people.”

Q: What types of films do you like?
A: “Horror and romantic.”
Q: How do you feel being part of the current film that you are in?
A: “I'm really excited to be part of this film truly grateful to be chosen.”
Q: As a member of the trans community how do you feel in regards to how society treats others in entertainment (film/ music/ theater) ?
A: “I have not felt anything negative against me really just respect for my accomplishments. From what I'm told from my friends they have been treated poorly.”
