IT Company Opens Hartford Location; Plans To Hire 500

An IT company has opened a Hartford branch and plans to hire 500 people in the state in the next two to three years.

HARTFORD, CT — A new IT company that opened its Hartford location Nov. 12 will add 500 new jobs in the state, including about 200 in Hartford, in the next two to three years, according to The Hartford Business Journal. HCL is a company based in India that opened a global delivery center at 10 State House Square due to its proximity to one of the company's major clients, Stanley Black & Decker.

HCL officials said the company will be adding positions in fields like digital workspaces, aerospace engineering, and technology applications.
