Major Blues Music Fest On Tap In Hartford This Weekend

The annual 'Black-eyed & Blues Fest' will take place Friday and Saturday in Hartford.

HARTFORD, CT — The Greater Hartford Arts Council Thursday announced the "Black-eyed Bluesfest" this Friday and Saturday in the city.

In partnership with Hartford-based Black-eyed Sally’s, the Connecticut Blues Society will
present the 23rd annual "Black-eyed & Blues Fest" on Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29.

Each performance day is designed to showcase a range of blues music, from Chicago Blues to West Coast and Delta Blues.

Attracting more than 3,500 visitors, this year's festival is expected to create at least 10 temporary jobs with 50 percent of those being local artists.

The weekend will consist of two free music concerts at Black-eyed Sally's and Bushnell Park in Hartford.

The two-day, free music event will include both local and nationally recognized artists.

Friday, July 28

Saturday, July 29

Bushnell Park, 1 Jewell St.

4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Richiman & Groove Nice
6 to 7:30 p.m. Jeff Pevar
8 to 9:30 p.m. Gracie Curran & The High Falutin Band
