Man, 19, Charged With Attempted Murder, Caught In Hartford: Feds

The suspect is alleged to have fired shots at a person in New York, according to federal authorities.

HARTFORD, CT — Federal marshals Wednesday arrested a 19-year-old man in Hartford to face attempted murder charges.

According to a release Wednesday from the U.S. Marshals Service, Christian Anderson, 19, was charged with attempt at second-degree murder.

Anderson and a co-defendant are alleged to have flashed a gun and fired several rounds at a victim in New York back on March 25.

Federal authorities said Anderson was taken into custody at a residence on Lisbon Street in Hartford.

He was transported to the Hartford Police Department pending extradition to New York to face the charges against him, federal authorities said.

The Connecticut U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, Hartford Police Department, U.S. Marshals New York New/Jersey Task Force, and Connecticut State Police were all involved in the investigation.
