Man, 40, Charged With Fatal Hartford Shooting: Feds
The incident happened June 1 in Hartford.

HARTFORD, CT — An 40-year-old man was charged Friday by Hartford police and federal authorities in connection with a fatal shooting in June.
According to the U.S. Marshals office out of New Haven, Joseph Shannon, 40, was taken into custody by authorities for a June 1 shooting that claimed the life of a woman in Hartford.
Federal officials said Shannon was wanted on charges of criminal attempt of first-degree assault; unlawful discharge of a firearm; and criminal possession of a firearm.

Since June, Shannon has eluded law enforcement officers, according to fedeal officials.
On Friday morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force and the
Hartford Police Department detained Shannon at a residence in East Hartford.
