HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police have arrested a Vernon man in connection with an April hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian.

Frank Bohorquez, 43, was charged Monday on a warrant with second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, evading responsibility, reckless driving and failure to drive in proper lane. A judge set his bond at $175,000.

Surveillance video of the incident was obtained through C4 and later released to media outlets. The Hartford Police Department received numerous tips from the public, including a tip that resulted in the location and recovery of the suspect vehicle in the incident, a gray 2016 Polaris Slingshot, Foley said.

Officers continued to investigate the incident with detectives from the Crime Scene Division. During their investigation and based on citizen tips, the operator of the vehicle was identified, interviewed, and a statement was obtained, Foley said.
