Man Badly Hurt In East Hartford Motorcycle Crash: Police
The 35-year-old was injured at a Route 2 off-ramp.
EAST HARTFORD, CT — A 35-year-old local man is fighting for his life after a serious motorcycle accident in East Hartford Thursday evening.
According to Connecticut State Police, the victim was traveling on Route 2 East on the Exit 2 off-ramp in the left lane of two lanes.
"For an unknown reason," police said in an accident report, the 2001 Suzuki motorcycle veered into the left shoulder and collided with a metal beam guardrail at about 6:50 p.m.

This prompted the rider to separate from the motorcycle, with the Suzuki coming to a final rest in the left lane, police said.
According to state police, the rider suffered "serious, life-threatening injuries" and was rushed to Hartford Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

The motorcycle had "disabling damage," according to the accident report.
