Man Charged In Slaying Of Hartford Man Over Holiday Weekend: Reports

HARTFORD, CT — A man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a Hartford man over the long holiday weekend, according to multiple reports.

WVIT Channel 30 reports 27-year-old Jordan Green has been charged and is being held on murder charges linked to the death of 43-year-old Hartford resident Gregory Betsey.

WVIT said police believe the incident Monday morning was a targeted attack.

Green was charged with murder; eight counts of criminal possession of a firearm; two counts of possession of a high capacity magazine; stealing a firearm; possession of more than 5 ounces of cannabis; and possession of a controlled substance, WFSB Channel 3 reported.

WFSB said the incident was on Prospect Avenue and police were called there at around 5 a.m. Monday for a report of a man shot in a driveway.
