Man Convicted of 2015 Murder In Hartford

HARTFORD, CT — A former Enfield resident was convicted of murder by a Hartford Superior Court jury Thursday, more than three years after a stabbing death in the north end of the city.

After just three hours of jury deliberation, Brock Davis, 44, was found guilty of murder in connection with the death of Joseph Lindsey on Dec. 9, 2015.

Around 12:02 p.m. on that date, the Hartford Police Department received multiple 911 reports of a person possibly shot in the area of Albany Avenue and Baltimore Street. A short time later, Lindsey arrived at the Saint Francis Hospital emergency department via private vehicle, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body. He was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later by the attending physician at the hospital, police said.

An arrest warrant for Davis was signed in Jan. 2016, and he was taken into custody on March 8 of that year. He has been held in lieu of $500,000 bond since that time, according to judicial records.

He will return to Hartford Superior Court for sentencing on June 5. He faces between 25 and 60 years in prison.
