Man Dies In House Fire In Bloomfield: Reports

BLOOMFIELD, CT — A man is dead after a house fire in Bloomfield on Friday, according to multiple reports citing authorities.

Police and fire officials said they responded to a home at 14 Ivory Way around 2:30 p.m. after receiving a report of smoke coming out of the windows, WFSB reported. When they arrived, they found the fire contained in an upstairs bathroom.

After extinguishing the flames, firefighters found a man dead in the bathroom, according to an NBC Connecticut report.

The victim's identity was not released.

The fire remains under investigation.
