McDonald's Delivery Extended to Hartford

A service gives new meaning to the term "drive-through."

HARTFORD, CT — Have the munchies and can't get to the drive-through at the local McDonald's? Well a service called UberEATS has contracted with the fast food chain to deliver staples like burgers, fries and nuggets to local homes.

Are ... they ... kiddin'?

No ... it's an extension of the "personal" aspect of the Uber ride service, a McDonald's official said.

Customers can place McDonald’s orders on the UberEATS mobile app or on UberEATS.com, using the same account they use to take Uber rides and track their order, as an UberEATS delivery partner brings their meal directly to them. An UberEATS booking fee applies to each order.

Delivery fees do apply and are outlined on the UberEATS app. The booking fee for UberEATS is a flat $4.99.
