Movie Theater Evacuated In Plainville: Report
The AMC Plainville 20 is temporarily closed after an issue Saturday afternoon at the movie theater.

PLAINVILLE, CT — A movie theater was reportedly evacuated on Saturday afternoon at the Connecticut Commons shopping center in Plainville. The evacuation was said to have been prompted by a utility issue.
A water pipe burst around 2 p.m. at AMC Plainville 20, according to WTNH, which reported fire crews responded and nobody was injured.

After 5 p.m., the AMC Plainville 20 remained closed. The movie theater's phone line was experiencing heavy call volume when Patch called, and a recorded message directed people to check showtimes online.
The following message was posted to the AMC Plainville 20 website Saturday evening: "We apologize for the inconvenience, this theatre is temporarily closed."
