Presidents Day Closures Announced For Hartford Offices, Schools

HARTFORD, CT — City employees will have a long weekend, like many municipalities, with a three-day break that includes a day off for Presidents Day Monday, Feb. 20.

School staffers and students, meanwhile, will have an extra long, break starting with the holiday.

Hartford officials announced that city offices, including Hartford City Hall, will be closed on the Presidents Day holiday.

Meanwhile, the Hartford Public Library System's Downtown Library remains closed due to water damage late last year and the Ropkins Library is closed for renovations.

But, on Monday, the remaining six Hartford city libraries still open for regular hours will be closed for the Presidents Day holiday as well.

The city's four senior centers are also closed for the holiday.

Meanwhile, Hartford schools break for their winter recess with Presidents Day Monday, Feb. 20, as well as the rest of the week (Tuesday, Feb. 21, to Friday, Feb. 24) being days off.
