ALTA Senior Director of Professional Development Deirdre Green nominated the Junior League of Hartford to receive the grant.

The grant was specifically given in support of the organization’s 16th Designer Show House.

Focusing on critical needs of women and families in the local community, the nonprofit currently supports organizations that provide basic health supplies, including diapers, period supplies, and incontinence products, to those in need throughout Connecticut.

In addition, the organization provides furniture to those who were previously homeless and now are transitioning into permanent housing.

As the Junior League of Hartford’s signature fundraising event, the Designer Show House will fund the community programs and projects over the next 3 years.

“We are honored to receive the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation grant in support of our 16th Designer Show House,” said Amie Lugo, president of the Junior League of Hartford. “This generous funding helps us continue our mission of developing women leaders and making a meaningful impact in our community. We are grateful for this support as we bring together real estate, design, philanthropy, and service to create lasting change.”
