HARTFORD, CT — A local resident experienced the luck of the Irish Friday, winning a massive payout from a scratch-off ticket purchased at a Hartford store that day.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the person won $100,000 playing the $100,000 Cashword 12 game, a scratch-off game that costs $10 to play. That is the maximum payout for the game.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Woodlawn DB Mart, which is located at 894 Maple Ave., Hartford.
