Several Injured In 4-Vehicle Route 2 Crash

Four people were sent to the hospital after a 4-vehicle crash.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Four people were sent to the hospital after a two-car crash on Route 5 in East Hartford Aug. 11, according to State Police.

A Toyota Corolla was traveling in the left lane on Route 2 near exit 5 when a Honda Accord crashed into it while merging into the lane.

The Corolla operator lost control, traveled through the center median barrier and struck an Infinti G37 and Chrysler 300 S that were traveling in the opposite direction. Injuries were described as minor by police.

The Accord driver was issued an infraction for failure to maintain lane.
