Shooting In East Hartford Probed By Police, Man Wounded: PD

One man was wounded, while bullets were sprayed at the scene, hitting an apartment building and vehicles.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are investigating a shooting Monday night at an East Hartford address that resulted in one man being rushed to the hospital.

According to the East Hartford Police Department, at 7:24 p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to the area of 95 Nutmeg Lane on a report of shots fired.

When police arrived they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police, Fire, and EMS rendered aid, and the victim was transported to the hospital. As of Tuesday afternoon, the victim is in “stable” condition, police said.

EHPD officers located several spent shell casings of two different calibers at the scene and believe more than one person was involved.

Police also recovered a handgun located in close proximity to the incident.

Multiple unoccupied vehicles were struck by gunfire.

Additionally, several of the shots fired entered into an adjacent apartment building.

"Fortunately, no one was struck inside the building," wrote the EHPD. "There were no other injuries reported to police."
