The SI Financial Group Foundation, Inc. has awarded a $3,500 grant to Operation Fuel to use for energy assistance for households in Willimantic and the Windham region.

Operation Fuel, which is based in Hartford, is a statewide nonprofit organization that provides emergency energy assistance year-round to lower-income working families and individuals, the elderly, and disabled individuals who are in financial crisis.
