HARTFORD - Real Art Ways presents a solo exhibition by Joe Bun Keo. The exhibition is now on view through Sunday, December 11, 2022. Gallery hours are Wednesday–Sunday from 2 to 9pm. Admission is free. Real Art Ways is located at 56 Arbor Street, Hartford.

In his solo exhibition bitter melons / bitter pills, Bun Keo presents a new body of work that focuses on sentimental, cultural, and utilitarian values. Using found and altered objects, Bun Keo creates poetic installations and assemblages that are informed by personal experiences with mental health, debt, and Khmer (Cambodian) - American identity.

Joe Bun Keo (b. 1987) is a Khmer (Cambodian) - American artist living and working in Connecticut. His work "unpacks intergenerational trauma through the scope of 'neomaterialism' and the concept of 'power objects.'"
