Special Olympics Connecticut to Host Annual Winter Games Presented by Eversource, February 28th - March 1st
Athletes will compete in skiing, snowshoeing, skating, gymnastics and floorball

Special Olympics Connecticut will host its annual Winter Games presented by Eversource on Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st. Athletes of all abilities from across the state will compete in sports and participate in Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® offerings and social activities with their teammates. Sports and venues will include:
Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding at Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort, 99 Powder Hill Road in Middlefield on Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing at Eversource, 1985 Blue Hills Ext in Windsor on Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Dedicated Eversource volunteers have been making and stockpiling "man-made" snow to make this event possible.
Figure Skating and Speed Skating at the International Skating Center of Connecticut, 1375 Hop Meadow Street in Simsbury on Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Floorball at the Pratt & Whitney Hangar, 423 Airport Avenue in East Hartford on Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and
Gymnastics at Farmington Valley Gymnastics and More, LLC, 5 Northwest Drive in Plainville on Sunday, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m
Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® program offerings at Winter Games will include a Nutrition Station at Eversource and Special Smiles (dental checks) at the Pratt & Whitney Hangar on Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 pm. and a “Warm-Up with QU” at Farmington Valley Gymnastics and More on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
