Police said they were dispatched to that address for reports of a male party who was shot. That's when the EHPD discovered that the victim sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The EHPD said Walker is the suspect, but no formal charges have been levied against the man just yet.
"He is a suspect in our murder. However, our case is still pending and he is currently being held on a fugitive from justice charge out of New Jersey where there is a $1 million bond," wrote the EHPD Thursday morning.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Thursday, July 27, to face the fugitive charges.
Police said further information about Walker is expected regarding the East Hartford homicide.
