Theater Group To Host Workshops To Help Budding Performers

WEST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — A local theater group based out of West Hartford is starting a three-part program starting tonight that helps adults prepare for future auditions in community theater.

Playhouse Theatre Academy is dedicated to offering professional theatre programs for emerging artists of all ages and abilities in West Hartford, Hartford and Simsbury.

The Playhouse Theatre Academy is offering a three-part audition workshop for adults (ages 17 and up).

It will be held on Monday, July 24, (musical theatere, Tuesday, July 25 (dance/choreography) and Wednesday, July 26 (acting), at the 224 EcoSpace in Hartford.

Tuition is $30 for each workshop, but signing up for all three will give participants a discounted rate of $70 and a complimentary ticket to see Playhouse’s summer musical, "Bandstand."

Registration is open and slots are filling quickly.

The goal is to help actors of all levels sharpen their auditioning skills.

This workshop will be taught by Kevin Barlowski, Patrick O’Konis and Sarah Rose Stack.
