HARTFORD, May 12, 2021 - Throughout this month, Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity will host Women Build in Greater Hartford. Women Build encourages women nationwide to devote at least one day to help build decent and affordable housing in their local communities. Women have the strength and determination necessary to build Habitat houses, addressing the problem of affordable housing in a concrete way so that families can achieve stability and independence through safe, decent, and affordable homes. This year teams will help build and rehab three homes in Hartford and East Hartford with over 250 women. To date, Hartford Habitat has served more than 300 families through their homeownership programs that include new construction, rehabs and repairs.
