Truck Inferno In Bloomfield Seen For Miles And Miles
A thick plume of black smoke dotted the skies in the capital city area for miles around.

BLOOMFIELD, CT — A massive plume of smoke that dotted the landscape in central Connecticut Saturday morning wasn't some sort of man-made catastrophe.
But it did tie up Bloomfield firefighters for much of the morning and caused quite a scene for miles around.
Both the Blue Hills Fire Department in Bloomfield and the Bloomfield Center Fire Department responded to Central Avenue for a morning inferno seen from several area towns.

According to Bloomfield Center fire officials, three tractor-trailer cabs and trailers were in flames while parked in a wooded area in Bloomfield.
Firefighters said the blaze was reported at about 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
