United Way Receives $250K from Stanley Black & Decker for Fund
Funds will provide urgent crisis relief and support to local individuals and families

Hartford, Conn. (May 26, 2020) — United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is pleased to announce that Stanley Black & Decker has contributed $250,000 to its United Way Neighbors in Need emergency response fund.
In late March, United Way launched United Way Neighbors in Need to help individuals and families in central and northeastern Connecticut with food; utilities; and, basic essentials.
To date, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut has awarded $413,000 to 33 local nonprofits to help address the increasingly dire economic consequences for local families. Additional grants will be made from United Way Neighbors in Need on an ongoing basis thanks to the support of individuals and companies like Stanley Black & Decker.
