There, folks can partake in a traveling exhibit that, literally, takes visitors into Van Gogh's works.

The Van Gogh exhibit runs from Wednesday, Aug. 10, to Sunday, Oct. 2., with the exhibit open Wednesdays through Sundays.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. They are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

For the Foodshare program, two bins will be located at the exhibitor entrance at the Connecticut Convention Center to collect the food items.

While there is no set monetary value for food donations, a suggested $20 gift is encouraged, event organizers said.

For each paid ticket (purchased in advance:www.beyondvangoghhartford.com) accompanying a food donation, one extra guest will be admitted without a ticket at the door.

All non-perishable donations must not have an expired date.
