Wed., May 31 Free Employment Empowerment & Career Fair at Dunkin' Park
Presented by the Urban League of Greater Hartford

This Wednesday, May 31st, the Urban League of Greater Hartford (ULGH) will connect hundreds of jobseekers and area employers at its 23rd Employment Empowerment Expo & Career Fair. The event will be held from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the YG Club of Dunkin’ Park at 1214 Main St. in Downtown Hartford. The indoor event will empower people to obtain equitable, secure, gainful employment in their desired job or industry and present employers with a qualified and enthusiastic selection of diverse candidates.
“Our annual Expo is a reminder of the exciting opportunities available to job seekers looking to fulfill their career aspirations,” explains David Hopkins, President and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Hartford. “Companies representing financial services, healthcare, technology, logistics, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, transportation will be discussing positions and conducting on-site interviews. We are happy to be back at Dunkin’ Park and to have the Hartford Yard Goats as our presenting sponsor,” Hopkin adds.
Many of the businesses and organizations that will be represented at the May 31 Employment Expo work with the Urban League of Greater Hartford throughout the year, including Knox, Inc., named the event’s 2023 Employer Partner of the Year. KNOX supports the needs of Hartford’s citizens, communities, and businesses through horticulture and urban farming-based opportunities in order to actively improve the environment and build. a greener, more sustainable, and healthy Hartford. KNOX has an ongoing partnership with the Urban League of Greater Hartford, including providing apprenticeship and training opportunities for clients in the ULGH’s workforce programs. In addition, KNOX volunteers help to tend the ULGH’s indoor aeroponic gardens that provide fresh nutritious fresh vegetables to community members all year long.
