Well-Known Documentarian To Appear At Hartford Event

HARTFORD, CT — One of America's most well-known documentarians will be in Hartford later this month for an evening of history and recollections.

The Connecticut Forum is hosting award-winning documentarian Ken Burns to kick off a new season of such programs at the Bushnell in Hartford.

He will be appearing at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, for a program hosted by CNN correspondent Audie Cornish at the Bushnell Performing Arts Center in Hartford, 166 Capitol Ave.

The Connecticut Forum is a nonprofit organization that "presents live, unscripted conversations among renowned experts, thought leaders, and personalities, and outreach programs serving youth in our local community," according to its website.

Burns is a renowned documentary filmmaker and a staple of PBS programming.

He is the creator of iconic history documentary series like "The Civil War," "Baseball," "The War" and "The Roosevelts: An Intimate History," among his busy list of works.

Cornish is a veteran journalist who is based at CNN's Washington, D.C., bureau, where she has reported on a litany of historical events over the past two decades.
